The Senior Programmer creates and provides efficient and resourceful technology solutions either by integrating third party applications or by creating new programs in-house, or both. The result of the technology solutions will enable the credit union to meet or exceed various business strategies.
Utilizes Core System’s (Symitar) built-in programming tools (e.g. RepGen, SymForm, SymConnect, SymXchange, etc.) to conduct a full range of programming tasks, including program design, program coding and debugging.
Utilizes other programming languages (including but not limited to HTML, .NET development, Java and others) to develop interfaces to third party applications.
Designs, creates, and tests SQL databases for reporting.
Reviews system logic for optimum throughput. Work frequently includes program maintenance and error detection/correction of existing codes/languages.
Develops project scope, business requirements, functional specifications, user acceptance tests, implementation plans and user documentation, as required.
Experience: 5-10 years of similar or related experience.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
Interpersonal Skills: Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature.
