Role

Working with the SVP of Marketing & Financial Services, this individual will spearhead the Credit Union’s Brand and Marketing efforts by creating, writing, editing, and producing marketing campaigns for the Credit Union. The ideal candidate will be expected to spearhead new trends in digital and social media marketing focused on improving the Credit Union’s overall share of wallet with our Membership; Manage the Credit Union’s community engagement strategy; Administer the Credit Union’s MCIF system and conduct market research and analysis within the Credit Union's target markets.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, integrate and manage all branding, advertising and promotional campaigns including, but not limited to, community and special events, digital and print media ads, social media, branch merchandising, etc.                                                             
  • Coordinating with the SVP of Marketing and Financial Services and Director of Marketing to develop and implement the Credit Union’s branding strategy and marketing campaigns.
  • Perform market research activities, including managing the Credit Union’s Marketing Central Information File (MCIF) to create target marketing, segments and identify advertising opportunities, and survey and analyze targeted communities, to provide recommendations for product segmentation and target marketing.
  • Develop advertising, including writing copy and graphic design, to promote sales of Credit Union products and services. 
  • Coordinate community relations events; monitor planning, schedules and implementation as required for proper execution of each event.
  • Plan and execute public relations activities and press releases. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience:  Two to Five years of similar or related experience.
  • Education:  Equivalent to a college degree, or a professional certificate. A graduate degree preferred.
  • Interpersonal Skills:  The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust.  Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job.
  • Other Skills: 
    • Strong graphic design and desktop publishing skills.
    • Must be able to travel independently and operate all types of general office equipment including PC.
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Strong initiative & creativity for independent work projects.  
    • Experience with an MCIF system for target marketing and analysis. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
