    The System Analyst will be responsible for the operation of the Credit Union’s core operating systems. Project management and analysis are central to this job description. Some programming and maintaining of programs may be needed from time to time. In addition, this individual is responsible for accurate and timely system processing (i.e. Daily, Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly). Assist

    in implementing system projects, as well as, coordinating and overseeing miscellaneous hardware and software requests, reports,

    troubleshooting and maintenance of ancillary systems. Responsible for maintaining system security logs and logs pertaining to

    system users. Travels to remote locations to conduct training, deploy/repair hardware/software and support staff. Work a flexible shift, including nights, weekends and on-call support.

    Major Duties and Responsibilities

    • Analyze existing core programs and write new programs for core
    • Process end of day, month, quarter and year programs. (This may entail working from home via VPN in access.)
    • Act as a contact for any system problems that occur during processing or that are reported by
    • users. Analyze, document problems, and recommend solutions and initiate corrective action.
    • Analyze software to determine the Credit Union needs and integrate with existing software
    • and hardware.
    • Assist in training and cross training of Credit Union employees on the functionality of the
    • core system.
    • Responsible for assigned conversions, file expansions and/or interfaces
    • Act as a project coordinator for any enhancements of the core systems or ancillary systems
    • Obtain and possess a keen working knowledge of the core software program
    • Assist and coordinate the installation and execution of new software releases as well as
    • conversions and upgrades from vendors
    • Respond to end users requests for Extract reports, report writers, and data
    • Maintain security of the core system at all times. Add, delete and amend users to the system.
    • Participate and assist in coordinating IT disaster recovery preparation and planning
    • Assist in merge of data from merging credit unions to our host system
    • Assist with new Branch locations and relocations
    • Use Technology to develop efficiencies for various departments
    • May assist IT Director and Sr. Network Admins, with maintenance of various Server(s).
    • Remain knowledgeable of operations and computers systems by attending technical training
    • classes and seminars as assigned
    • Attend weekly meetings with your direct report.
    • Act as back up support for the Computer Operator(s) or System Support specialist.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by management

    Knowledge and Skills

    • Possess a four-year degree from an accredited college/university in a technical field or have a
    • High school diploma with more than 5 years’ experience working with programming languages and/or similar Analyst experience
    • Have a working knowledge of Symitar programming language (RepGen) and/or C, C++, Java, SQL
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, etc) and Windows software.
