    As a member of the branch team, the Branch Service Representative contributes to the credit union objectives by providing exceptional member service, performing monetary and non-monetary member transactions and meeting or exceeding credit union referral goals for membership, loans and deposits.  The Branch Service Representative is equivalent to a "Teller" position in the credit union or banking industry.  Only individuals with "Teller" credit union or banking experience will be taken into consideration.  Others need not apply.  Incomplete online applications will not receive consideration.

    Major Duties and Responsibilities

    • Provide exceptional member service, assist members with opening share and certificaten accounts, answer questions about products and services and resolves problems that are within their authority to resolve.
    • Assists members with financial transactions such as: deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, stop payments, account maintenance, member resolution, check cashing, etc.
    • Assess member needs through probing questions and provide solutions to those needs with SCU products and services.
    • Meet or exceed credit union sales and service goals through the BSR scorecard program.
    • Receive 95% or higher on quarterly Branch Secret Shop program.
    • Good working knowledge of Funds availability Act (Regulations CC) and Currency Transaction Reporting (CTR).
    • Maintain Production standards so that tasks are completed with minimal overtime.
    • Ensure Balancing Standards and Controllable Loss Guidelines are adhered to at all times.
    • Acts as a liaison between Members and various organization and departments.
    • Maintain a clean and neat workstation with a working supply of promotional materials and forms.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Knowledge and Skills

    • Experience: Minimum of 6 months of Teller experience in a credit union or bank with cash handling and the ability to balance and make mathematical computations; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
    • Education: High School education or GED. 
    • Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. 
    • Other Skills: Able to operate a 10-key calculator, PC and computer keyboard.
