    Reporting directly to the Director of IT, the Senior Network Administrator is responsible for assisting in planning, coordinating and representing the interests of the organization's technology infrastructure. The Senior Network Administrator will perform network, systems, operations, help desk and telecommunication administrator duties. Will work with other areas of IS to support functions and interfaces affecting and/or related to the network.

    Major Duties and Responsibilities

    • Responsible for administration of the Information Technology Area, including but not limited to:
      • Network, Telecommunications (All CU data and voice circuits), Information Security, Virtualization, SAN, Workstations, Document Imaging System(s), Telephony system (VM, ACD, IVR), CRM, SCU Website, Online Banking, Mobile Banking, Intranet, eBoardroom and or other 3rd party integration and application systems.
      • Research, recommend, design, document, implement, analyze, secure, configure, maintain, support, monitor, test, troubleshoot and maintain integrity of:
      • Network infrastructure; includes switch, firewall and router technologies that provide connectivity and security for organization's Local Area Network and Wide Area Network.

      • Hardware and operating systems and peripherals. Evaluate and install operating systems, system upgrades, software, software updates and resolve software related problems for server and desktop systems.
      • Organization's storage and virtualization infrastructure, e-mail, file, print, internal/external web and database systems.
      • Support and maintain user account information including rights, security and systems groups. Create, modify and delete user profiles and other access controls as necessary.
      • Organization's Telephony system (Phone system, VM, IVR & ACD). Create, modify and delete extensions, configure features, train users and resolve hardware and software problem
    • Evaluate, plan, develop systems and procedures, assess project feasibility and test for all IT related projects and goals. Must meet and work with IT staff, department heads, management and supervisors to assist in the assessment of current needs, long-term goals and projects needed for the organization's infrastructure.

    • Assist VP/CIO & Director of IT in the research, development and maintenance of written procedures, policies, internal controls, budgeting, performance monitoring, risk management, compliance, reporting, priority setting and business plan; other duties as assigned.​​

    Knowledge and Skills

     

    • Experience/Education: Five to ten years of related experience or a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a focus in IT related technologies.
    • Interpersonal Skills:The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job.
    • Other Skills:         

      • Standard concepts and best practices within the Information Technology and  
      • Telecommunications field.
      • Firewall technologies; designing, implementing, programming and maintaining firewalls.
      • Hacking, virus and security threats, techniques, technologies, detection and prevention
      • Copper, fiber and wireless technologies.  
      • TCP/IP; ports, sockets, routing and subnetting.  
      • Ethernet, Frame Relay, MPLS, VPN and remote access technologies.
      • Microsoft desktop and server operating systems that include but are not limited to
      • Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7/8/10 and Windows 2000/2003/2008/2012 Server.
      • Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Project.  
      • MS Active Directory; management, security and GPOs
      • Microsoft's Exchange Server 2003/20072010/2013 and supporting clients including Outlook 2010/2013/2016 and Outlook Web Access.
      • Microsoft's IIS; creating, securing and maintaining HTTP and FTP sites.  
      • Cisco's IOS; programming, securing and maintaining routers.
      • SQL Server 2000/2005/2008/2012 creating, securing and managing databases.
      • VM Ware, XEN and Microsoft virtualization technologies
      • Limited familiarity with NIX/BSD/AIX operating systems; basic mgmt security and auditing of O/S and packages.
      • Enterprise storage technologies; iSCSI, SAN, fiber channel and replication technologies.
