    Responsible for directing and administering the operational efforts of a small Credit Union facility (usually up to 5 people); ensuring the branch meets or exceeds all sales and service goals designated within the Branch Manager's scorecard and that established policies and procedures are followed.  Oversee provision of a full range of services to members and prospective members. Ensure that

    members are promptly and professionally served. Train, direct, and supervise branch staff.

    Major Duties and Responsibilities

    • Directs, coaches, motivates, hires and disciplines branch personnel; administers performance evaluations and recommends appropriate personnel actions.
    • Monitors branch operating results relative to established objectives and insures that appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions.
    • Maintains communications with main office; prepares and submits standard reports; attends scheduled management meetings.
    • Monitors all branch activities to insure they are in compliance with established credit union policies and procedures.
    • Ensures budgets are met and goals are attained.
    • Represents the branch as appropriate in its relationships with members, sponsor organizations(s), suppliers, other financial institutions, and similar groups.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Knowledge and Skills

    • Experience: Five years or more years of credit union and/or bank Branch Manager or related experience.
    • Education: A college degree or related experience.
    • Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work will involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities becomes necessary.
    • Other Skills:
      • Must have excellent communication skills. Working knowledge of regulations relating to all Credit Union deposit and loan products (i.e. Reg CC, Reg E, Reg D, Reg Z, TILA, BSA, OFAC, IRAs, Account Administration, Funds Availability, TISA).
      • Liaison for community and college executives. Involvement in community and college events including Chamber of Commerce and college partnership.
      • Complete Familiarity and experience in utilizing the Symitar System and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and Outlook.
