The Senior Human Resources Generalist plays a key role in driving HR strategy, ensuring compliance, and serving as a trusted resource to leadership and employees. This role requires a strong understanding of employment law, HR best practices, and organizational development. The Senior HR Generalist will lead initiatives related to compliance, policies and procedures, and oversee high-impact special projects. In addition, the role partners with management to provide consultative guidance on employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning.
Expectations:
Experience:
Four to six years progressive Human Resource professional experience. HR certification preferred. Training in Federal, state laws and application of HR policy in Financial Institutions.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
Interpersonal Skills:
Ability to motivate, influence, and collaborate with others, requiring diplomacy, trust, and the ability to obtain cooperation both internally and externally.
Other Skills:
1. Working knowledge of employment and interviewing practices, Equal Employment Opportunity, Affirmative Action, and Cobra.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and ADP Workforce Now.
3. Self-starter capable of working independently.
4. Effective verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
5. Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality of information.
6. Knowledge and experience with Workers’ Compensation, Leave of Absence procedures, and applicable state regulations.
7. Competence with office equipment, including desktop/laptop computers, copiers, fax machines, and telephones.
8. Strong problem-solving and multi-tasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
9. Must be a Team Player with a collaborative mindset.
